PLEASE READ ALL...

Have any of you guys heard of the song by the rapper Mike Jones where he says that phone number?

Artist: Mike Jones
Album: Who is Mike Jones?
Song: Back Then

281 330 8004, hit mike jones up...

Well, I did and now i'm muted. Although i'm not sure that specific offence was the one that got me muted, but, anyways...

Here is what happened...

Ok... so, I was talking in elvemage's clan chat before I was muted and before he quit, and and I said 281 330 8004, hit Mike Jones up...
I don't know why I said it but, I did. Anyways, I stayed in his clan chat for a little while longer.

Then, the next day, I find myself banned for the rest of that day, and also permanently muted. Somebody had reported me for singing a song! Whats wrong with singing a song while playing Runescape. dry.gif

And they say then same thing every time my appeal is denied.

QUOTE (From Runescape Customer Support)
Thank you for your appeal.

We are sorry to inform you that this appeal has been denied.

We have conclusive evidence that you were in control of the account at the time of the offence and for this reason this offence will remain on your account.

We suggest you take some time to remind yourself of the Rules of RuneScape before you start playing again!

I also find a couple other offence that had happened more than 2 months earlier...
So, they just decide to go through with the offence whenever they feel like it!?

Can somebody please tell me if there is something that Jagex did wrong, or that I can possibly do to make that offence go away, because that's pathetic that I can't sing a song while playing Runescape. Possibly sending jagex a query or something, i don't know. Also, if you haven't heard of the song, then you can probably find it if you search for it on google or something like that.

Hope there is a solution to this situation. unsure.gif

Thanks for reading! smile.gif

Sorry, but I have to admit that:

Sounds exactly like you're telling them to call this "Mike Jones." It doesn't matter what they think of it. You could give little children ideas. wink.gif

TBH i agree with eragonj (oh and erm yeh i've got 0.0 black masks tongue.gif)

Eragonj is correct.

You committed the offense of giving out personal information. Jagex is stationed in England, I don't think they know who Mike Jones is, and you revealed his phone number, which is revealing personal information. It may not even be his true phone number, but it's still considered personal information since Jagex just goes by what rules they have set; and giving out a phone number is obviously deemed, by them, giving out personal information.

By the way, that song is awesome. tongue.gif

Do you mean blackmarks? tongue.gif

Eragonj is perfectly correcy. Obviously in England, not many people will have heard the song never mind even heard of Mike Jones. Most people would instantly think you are giving out personal details of someone and instantly click the report button.

You first mistake was going into Elvemage's clan chat. And I agree with the others.

p.s - I know you said 'thread closed'.
James
Okay, first of all, I know you said thread closed, but I want to help. Secondly, did you check the evidence on your offence? You can do this by going to 'Appeal an Offence/Ban' -> 'Login' -> 'Find the latest offence' -> 'Click on view evidence'. You should always check the evidence before you send an appeal. wink.gif
