I am here to explain why the new pking is unfair. The new pking is where someone who isn't your target attacks you and if you kill them you get penalty. If you dont kill the person then he will keep attacking you. Not only is the penalty 3 minutes long but you cant even use protect items when u kill someone other than your target. That is messed up who can survive 3 minutes in bounty hunter in the members world. I miss the old, fair, pking. Jagex needs to make it so whoever attacks you before you attack them becomes your new target and the old target is no longer your target. New pking you would have to be alot richer to use full rune in nonmembers then in old pking if you want to killwhoever you want or kill the pest that keeps attacking you because you will be likely to lose it. Bounty hunter can make you the target of 4 people and you get piled and your friends cant help you.

The new form of PKing was a necessary sacrifice. If it wasn't changed Runescape would be destroyed a lot faster (regarding the economy).

Contrary to belief it actually depended on it the way it was going. Right before the GE the whole economy was about to crash because of all the changes and the sudden stop of macroers. So, the downfall of mainly all of the items was because it was removing all the people that feed off the macroers therefore eliminating a cycle that mainly completed endlessly. Therefore an upwards of 10b was probably lost to macro accounts that Jagex instantly banned right after they added the GE. Yes, the way it was going the economy would eventually prove to be unsuitable for the average player but it was also helping the economy at the same time. Prices on certain items actually increased instead of falling like one would expect. If Jagex didn't do what they did, eventaully the economy would really crash beyond simple repair.

It should be the poorer get richer and the richer get even richer. Not the poorer getting poorer.

I don't see where I say that it wasn't doing anything good or bad, and if you look closely, you can see that I said it would have been destroyed a lot quicker. But, you did just make the same point as I, with more explanation of course.

So it's the retarded bot people that left jagex with only those two choices? To destroy the game or to let the game be destroyed faster?

Basically it was the macroers fault. Although, rares have a play in it too, I believe.

JAGeX could've chosen a better way to fix the Real World Trading problem. They could've kept the Wilderness & made it so you don't lose items you take in, but you'd get points & could exchange them for items, cash etc.

That still wouldn't help. A real world trader would just go and kill the 'client' and get the cash.

Thanks to bounty hunter and unbalanced trade removal we get new graphics now.
More customers for Jagex, a bit less fun, but at least fullscreen and widescreen and hi-q graphics. That's almost paying off for BH and trading and staking cap.

I think the graphics update and the full screen/wide screen features will be a great addition to RuneScape, far better than Bounty Hunter and PKing altogether in my opinion. Hopefully Jagex figures out a way to make the graphics update available to the majority of "lame" computers (256MB-512MB RAM), i.e. mine. wink.gif I guess that might be what the specs download thing was for. We'll see what happens. tongue.gif

Jagex aren't going to reverse any decision, and the soon coming updates such at Item Lending and new pking games will show that Jagex are doing something to help pking. Runescape is a game that is constantly changing, and people will just have to adapt.

I agree with you 100%. I support Jagex's move even though it ruin my niche for moneymaking and changed the economy into a new animal to master. If Jagex changed it back I would honestly wonder if they care anymore. Something is better than nothing.
