Why do you play runescape??



Better than being an alcholic...

I play it because I don't have to pay for members.

I'm 18, and yet my dad spoils me by paying for my stuff XD

It's something to do while talking on irc/aim/yahoo/msn/ts, and doing stuff irl..

I really have no reason to play RS, I just do.

I used to move a lot between work and university, and I lived quite a way from town growing up. So making IRL friends was kind of a pain in the neck. Got easier when I joined a few punk bands after I got my license, but...

And now I play because it's where I love to be :-) and it's a HELLA cheap hobby (which is awesome for a college kid, eh)

Honestly, I play it out of boredom. I typically quit after playing for two months, then start playing 5 months later.

Helplessly addicted.

I play runescape, becuse ive played since the 6th grade. (im a senior now) and well, i have nothing better to do.


I wont let all 6 years of work go to waste

That also, but I have nothing else to do. I can go out side and risk being jumped by a gang and burn my retinas, or stay inside. I stay inside.

Btw I'm VERY sensitive to light

Why Does Butters Play Runescape:




-To avoid rummaging around in my fridge all day (desperately seeking delectable snacks.)



-On Runescape, goals and achievements seem to be completed. In real life, a trip to the laundry room or kitchen never ends up where you thought it would. There are always more dirty socks, and mountains of dishes to be done no matter how much you think you have worked on it.

-You can dress up in your absolute best Runescape attire. No one will know that you are secretely hunched over at the computer, in your fluffy slippers and frumpy pajamas.

Runescape gives me something to do when I'm bored(which is most of the time)

main reason i continue to play is bcuz i enjoy company of friends i have made on here:)

The reasons I play have changed quite a bit over the years. Initially it was just a spare time having fun sort of thing. For the last 8 months I've been trying to get as many 99s as possible, working as hard as possible to finish everything. So I would say most of what keeps me to RS is that the goal is unfinished. There still is fun though, just not like it used to be.

I play runescape because a somewhat 4 1/2 years ago, I went to california and I saw some kids playing it in a public library, I thought it looked cool so I decided to try it out, i ended up making my own account and playing more and more trying to get levels and learn more about the game. I went back to Florida and continued to play.

Thats when my concious kicked in and I took a 3 month break from runescape.

When I came back, bunny ears were gone! :cry:

But I still kept playing, then I met this kid in school and he also played runescape.
We shared tips and played rs together and learned more about the game than before! We are still friends up to this day in real life, but he no longer plays runescape. He plays Gears of War on xbox360.

Runescape is an addicting game and I realize that, I havn't been on as much as I used to because of this. I get bored very easily now and I tend on going outside and just sittin there for long periods of times. I'm also AFK more often then before.

I continue to play runescape though, because I have friends on there that I would like to talk to from time to time, and I love testing out Jagexs' new updates to the game.

I eat healthly, play at healthy times, and actually take the time out of my life, to clean myself, (unlike some people I know )

To kill time while I wait for Blizzard to release new servers for World of Warcraft. Power Raid ftw!

Edit: And until Starcraft 2 comes out

It's a great game and time consuming.

It is something with a very unusual community involved with all the aspects of it. It also can waste a lot of time if you get bored.

I bairly play. I've logged in for 10 mins in the past 2 weeks.

I play it because I only work every so often and have a lot of free time on my hands The other main reason is my Clan which has been a home to me for well over 2 years.

Honestly, for the community. Or what's left of it, there are some decent people around still. If you know the right people you can truely enjoy the game.

Well I used to enjoy playing, now i dont know really.

you learn something from runescape tbh

and explore things thats why i play =p

and also to beat zezima....maybe in another world lol

Its fun, I have a lot of friends that play RS, and also, its very competitive. I love competition.

Great game, PK, mini-games, etc..?

I play because I enjoy the people in the game, whatever people say there is still a great community within the game and it's great to be a part of it

It gives me something to do in my free time if I'm not working or out with friends.

That and I can login for even just 15 seconds a day and get something done. Unlike when I played WoW, I'd need to be on for sometimes up to 3 or 4 hours at a time just to get something done.

I don't have that kind of time anymore between my work and social life.

Releives stress for me, escapes from issues of real life for a breif period.

I suppose saying "it's fun" isn't enough?

For downtime/off time during the wrestling season! I need a break from things like that.. mmm my shoulder is still a little out of whack right now =\

umm besides that its relaxing fun and entertaining i got some nice frineds on there (well not as many as there use to be )

I play RuneScape because it's fun, have lots of free time, and a great game to socialize with others.

it's fun, plus i've discovered that once you set yourself goals in runescape, you cant stop setting higher ones, even after youve met those goals.

I play it because im poor and my cars blown up, if I was rich and could afford unlimted gas, i would not play.

Im playing rs2 because i like it , its fun....I got a occupation when im bored ^-^.

btw i'm new here so i might as well introduce myself while i'm here (good idea to introduce myself on every forum i visit coz i'm weeeird)


i'm known as Prob Monkey (my main) or as Ah Bubble (my skills pure)
all in all i'm a fairly nice guy.
i can get forced into hyper mode sometimes.

i'm in a quite succesful clan Majestic Array, (in fact i'm junior leader,) the only problem is that its been put into trouble by some former leaders of majestic array (now banned) its slowly building up again

I started playing because I looked up to my brother and just loved him to death...Now, I have way too many friends...They'd kill me if I quit.

Beats drama...i play rs just to relief myself really. School you know can be a drag since the work. I go play rs just to calm myself from all the work. I dont play as much i usually hang with friends but rs is a good game to play.

I play for the fun you can have even after playing for 3+ years. Play for my friends and the goal of having a great character.
