Zonghui:
The first one ever for 99 hp and 99 in all melee skills. With Ladykilljoy this asian lion (Zonghui means lion) dominated the hp list at one point. After 99 hp he went quickly for 99 magic and started to head for 93 prayer which would have given him 123 combat, the maximum in RSC. For months he worked like an animal at the wilderness big bone spawn and buried those bones up to 88 prayer. Notice that big bones in RSC only gave 12.5xp per, so count from that how lunatic his goal was and how hard he worked. He retired at quite hectic place: he was in a good lead in prayer. According to some rumours he was forced to join the army. Even tho he isn't anymore making us leave the black knight maze or big bone spawn, his spirit lives on.

Ladykilljoy
If you want to mention Zonghui, you must also mention this fine lady. She was the second for 99 in all melee skills and ended up being 121 combat in RSC. If black knight maze was Zonghui's place, the guards in black knight fortress were LKJ's. She also shares one common thing with Zonghui: both also pked unlike most of the current high leveled characters. Of course training took most of their time and they are widely known for their stats, they weren't that odd sign in the wilderness.

Muhahahahaha
The first one ever to get 90+ ho and also get a character at those levels banned. Just like Zonghui, he trained at the black knight maze. Also just like him, he kept the spot. If you wanted to get an easy Lumbridge teleport, tried to get him to share his training ground. However unlike Zong&Lkj, he didn't go for mad prayer training and ultimate high combat level at any point.

Angel2002/I Wicked I
One man, many characters. This man was widely known pker, one of the biggest legends of pkin. His catching skills were widely praised everywhere. However he was a person that split people's opinions a lot. His attitude wasn't always what people would have wanted to see. His first character, Angel2002 got banned for the legendary knife bug. One story tells that he was just testing it at wilderness on ice giants and then got attacked by Sir Beachy. Of course he reported Angel for bug abuse and bang. However that's just one story and among the years, stories turn into legends and get new aspects. Statwise he wasn't anything superior, but he had skills and was rumoured to abuse many different bugs. However no matter what the real truth was, he deserves a name on any list which talks about legendary pkers.

Alchemon&Sandytrain
Even tho these players are totally different persons, it's best to handle them as once as they share so many similarities. They were the first ones to hit 100 combat right after wildy pretty much at the same time. Both were the highest leveled characters in pre-wilderness world and they are known for other things than pkin. What I know, Alchemon has been 100% retired for years and Sandy has logged in at least few times in RS2.
Who Da Best/P O K E Y
This kid could be described as the official high lvl troublemaker. He can train a lot and hard as we saw on his characters, but he also could break many different rules as we also saw on same characters. He trained at many various places and was known as a good pker with a big mouth. WDB was one of the highest leveled characters at one point and P O K E Y was one of the highest pures later on. However even tho he made many mistakes and paid a big price for them countless times, he affected to pkin at many points: showed some tactics in high lvl pkin, training attitute and the general pker attitude.

Gearshifter
Of course when we're talking about RSC melee, we can't forget the first person ever to get the maximum combat of 123. He almost literally lived at the blue dragons down in taverley dungeon and in the end after ages of inhumane training he managed to get the big level. Some may argue that Zongui worked harder with his big bones even tho he didn't get the maximum combat. However in my eyes a man who got 123 combat legit in RSC can't be said to be less hard worker than anyone else. That is something comparable to the maximum skill total in rs2.
Snake Slava/Snake Slavik
One man, 2 characters, 1st and 2nd ever to get 99 ranged. Add that to pkin and you get yourself a true legend. Snake Slava got unfairly banned and while it was banned, he trained Snake Slavik. After Slava got banned, he had a high lvl char with 99 ranged and a good pure with it. He spoke almost no English at all, so he wasn't that active at different communities unlike many other good pkers. However everyone who ran into his clan, BOS, won't forget his deadly arrows. He can still be seen every now and then in RS2, but unfortunately people have seem to forgotten him.

Sir Elliott
One of the first ones to get 99hp and also a semigood pker. Was widely respected pretty much everywhere and didn't seem to have any real rivals anywhere. Usually saw him teaming with another 99hp finn, Equalizer T. Hasn't been playing RS2 too much and definately wasn't a skiller in rsc either.
Swifty Mcvay
For many hours I wasn't sure wether to introduce this person here. He was ultimate high lvl pker and got many kills, including me few times. However he was also a good example of pre-rs2 nh pker. He wasn't called Sifty Mclog for no reason, he got muted in RSC which wasn't that common and I think now he has been perm banned. His bad attitude was seen everywhere: he was often banned from pretty much all the major forums. However even tho I didn't like him at all, he was one of the reasons that made RSC wildy special. There people had their rivals and pretty much all the high lvl pkers at least somehow knew each other.
Here's a picture where he nearly got 3hit at f2p from almost full hp. Of course ended up logging, acted like the owner of the world at forums and denied everything but wanted a dm against a person with 12 lower hp. Dm was held.
Mctavish
This person was first known as a succesful and good merchant. However he brought the idea from extreme pures to a new level and is now known as the father of prayer beasts. He idealised a pure with so low def that it's best to wear monk robes for pray boost, enough pray to protect the valuable r2h and ultimate high attack and strength for its combat level. Of course with good chances to get a kill and nothing to lose when duying, this type of a pker came really popular at lower levels. Only minus thing was the training: it wasn't too easy to train a character that lost a lot of food almost everywhere.
Here are few names with little stories. I could keep continuing the list forever, seeing as I missed many names. If someone feels like writing a short summary for some of the characters named below, I'll happily edit it here and give credit for it.
