Yeah... Save RuneScape smile.gif

YOU can make all the diference by reporting those bots and rule breakers. Make RS the game it is meant to be. What's the point in playing a game where if you try to skill everything is to expensive becuase of the thousands of level 3's making supplies rise? They're ruining our game and taking up our highscores places.

Report every miss-dead that needs reporting and hopefuly one day they will get the message and **** OFF!! tongue.gif

I've started reporting a lot, you should too cool.gif

Won't happen. After breaking from the game for 2 years and coming back nothing has changed, if anything it's gotten worse. It's just too easy to bot stuff like cut yew logs then sell for In-game money and sell that for RL cash. Any online game such as this will have that problem (or others, ie: power leveling).

So Jagex bans a yew botter, big deal. Those "businesses" probably have hundreds, maybe thousands of bots cutting that stuff all day. So what if the botter loses a few hundred thousand logs to sell. They always come back, and in bigger force.

Easiest thing to do is to accept what's become of the game. Personally I would like to put most the blame on Jagex requiring a ridiculous amount of experience to attain high levels in anything. On top of that it's not like they aren't encouraging automating, what with the dozens of "make-x" options they've instituted in the game.

The 60 second wait between reporting doesnt help either, most people are too impatient to actually wait a minute to report somebody else. Maybe if jagex made it so if you are reporting for Macroing then there is no time to wait (Or maybe shorten it to like 10 seconds)

At present time only Pmods can chain-report without a wait time in between. And besides, I think there's only a 30 second chat snapshot when you report. So the person is already off the hook by the time you can report again (assuming you're waiting for the wait time to be done).
Pacman
reported quite alot

when i was bored i lured em down to bats from flax spot lol using guthix cape.

also killed a few by getting the mugger into varrock rune shop and messing with the doors LOL.

I report often. I also have fun getting flax bots and ess bots killed biggrin.gif. Jagex is starting to take notice. The j-mods have been walking RS again banning bots.

Here is some proof that Jagex is listening :

Warior989
I have been doing it but they just keep coming lol.

I think the reason JaGeX has that is because alot of the immaturer people would sit around spam reporting the same person for hours on end or something. Anyway - macroers arent that bad, they only annoy you because you let them, report them then pretend they arent there and save yourself alot of aggro over such a small deal.

I report as many as I can, but it's not helping much. What Jagex needs to do is shut down the Real World Item Trading businesses and the websites that distribute auto programs.
Steve
I see no use in reporting macroers, as you yourself cannot detect who actually is a macroer. I know a fair few high levels macro, and do not get reported because they are not level 3 and have the basic outfit/random items.

To be honest, I wouldn't bother wasting my time reporting people that probably won't be banned because of your reports anyway. Most people seem to believe that this will get them mod-ship, which is stupid.

How is that possible? By shutting down Ebay and calling all website hosting companies? lol
Jake J
I report many autoers, But you can only report one a minute, I don't have the time.. lol.
Cantabilex33
My advice is... Enjoy the game!
KrYpTo
Has anyone noticed a lack of autoers at the flax fields? And cutting yews in P2P, not sure about F2P.

I think it's working biggrin.gif
ant1venom
are you guys aware if you log out and log right back in after reporting, u dont have to wait. (last i checked anyways)

f2p is still terrible.

Around a year and half ago I went on a 'report macro week' and just constantly reported macroers, and it yielded no results from my perspective. However, 1 week later, I received about 20 "thank you" letters sent by Jagex. Keep in mind, while they might not reply anymore, they still pay attention to your reports and take action based upon it.

Just takes a little time
Bloodlust_13
I report them all the time smile.gif

Jagex has said it themselfs, they are watching over the P2P worlds a lot more then the F2P. =p

I think they should really take off the 1 min wait to report abuse. It becomes hard to report them every one min since you can forget what ones you reported etc.
Harl0e
I report them, but doesn't seem to help much :\
Eragonj
Considering there's hundreds of new autoers it probably doesn't help much, but if everyone does report a few a day, then think about how much that would help.
