I remember when jagex annouce a reminder of the rule not to use programs like Swift Switch and a big Riot broke out in falardor ill post up pics of it when i get home.

I saw no point in it, but I guess SS users did. I use mIRC with a script that allows me to play RuneScape in a seperate window in the mIRC program.

I went there for a while, but if you got muted for going it wasn't worth it. I don't think that's what entirely changed Jagex's mind, either.

Yeah, I remember that. I went there for a bit, and got muted for telling a mod (2cute4you999) to stfu. I HATE HER! JAGeX then realized that it was a stupid mute, and demuted me.

Yeah i just went there to watch what was goin on i dont use SS and its the same as PC riot i never used PC but i still went to the riot to watch lol =p

God i hated this riot. it accomplished what it meant to do (sorta?) i don't no if that had any affect what so ever but whatever. The reason i hate it is because i got perma muted wish i never went to it. But made another account and is doing good so I'm happy (wish they did the same thing to me as for james -.- i told a mod to shut up...)

I couldnt be bothered with this so much, I did go to see what was going on and kept silent...what is the point of me talking and getting swamped by 700 people demanding to know why I am there? lol

If I do go to any of these "events" I always stay quiet, silently watching the whole thing from afar.

In the grand scheme of things saying "stfu" is not going to end the world in my opinion but saying you are selling gold on a certain site is...

I would like to clarify, this 'Riot' (it wasn't a riot, a riot implies violence) achieved nothing. The problem was fixed by Strider's hard work and perseverance with JAGEX. All the people in the 'riot' achieved was nothing apart from mutes and black marks.

I agree with Zanith on his 1st part, it was like a protest with out any signs.

I was talking to Strider about stuff like that the other day. He didn't really seem upset about, it's not like Jagex was threatening a whole lot. He said they had been messaging him and posting on his forum about it for a while, but took as long time to actually do anything.

I heard about this event and a few of my friend went as well. This didn't really do too much besides make Jagex mute a few people and anoy them.

All riots were in Falador -.-..

Actually that statement is wrong. Falador may be popular but isn't the only place that a 'riot' has occured.

There was one at Seers village which i went to once. Can't remember what it was for though.

There are a couple "riots" that I recall.

One is this one, which obviously occurred in falador.
There was the Pest Control update "riot", which was at the Void Knights' Outpost and supposedly in falador.
There was also the server crash, where worlds 65 and 66 were filled and there were loads and loads of people in the wildy near Ice Plateau, which also took place in falador, where people were saying "Ice me!"
^ That was lots of fun. The only thing I pked though was a dds, lol.

I probably know more, but I can't seem to remember them.

I was there and i protested loudly but i didn't get any punishment.
Same with wildy-back demonstration.
