The Assit System seems good an' all, but the only problem is that I don't know how to use it.

It's always useful to read the knowledge base articles because the information is created by Jagex itself, who knows exactly how it works. You can access the knowledge base by clicking on a link on the left of the runescape mainpage.

SSS:
To ask a player for request you right click and hit "req [namehere]".
To be asked they have to do the above and you left click to accept it.

When you are assisting someone else you can enable/disable a skill by clicking on it.
