I would say no, because the event was so short, and the reward was just very boring.
It just doesn't seem like they didn't put very much effort into the event.

They're all short and boring. I don't like them at all. I stopped doing them after they dropped scythes or w/e. Can't remember really when that was.

To be honest, this was my favorite event since i've been playing.

Yes, it may be short but you can keep on doing it. yes, you can stay there and keep on making snowmen.
Also the reward (the snow globe) that fills your inventory with snowballs, when the event is over we can make lumps of snow fall down with the snow globe and throw snowballs almost at anyone.
BTW i'm collecting hats atm so i can still build snowmen after the event

The snowballs disappear once the event is over. You should read the news more.

The hats will probably dissapear but the snowballs won't!

My first holiday event was the Easter event in 2006 when the reward was the ring of egg.
